The UW is one of the schools I'm seriously considering attending. I'm just curious about a few things: what's the temperature range from coldest to hottest averages, will I be able to apply for the honors college my second year, and I identify as a transgender male how lgbt friendly is campus and how exactly would housing work for me?

Hello Anonyomous,

We’re happy to hear that you’re interested in the University of Washington. We hope you’ll find the following information useful.

1) Temperature Range: someone recently asked a similar question, check out the response here: http://uofwa.tumblr.com/post/140820846001/hows-the-weather-i-know-its-rainy-most-of-the

2) Honors Program: Students who are already enrolled at the UW may apply for Second Year Admission into the Interdisciplinary Honors program during spring quarter of their freshman year. Each spring quarter, we accept applications from current freshmen and issue invitations to those who have demonstrated academic excellence during their first two quarters at the university. For more information please visit this link: http://depts.washington.edu/uwhonors/apply/second-year/

3) LGBT Friendly: Someone recently asked a similar question, see the response here: http://uofwa.tumblr.com/post/141671927911/hello-i-would-like-to-know-how-lgbt-friendly

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
