Sami National Day Still Not Recognized As An Official Holiday In Norway

The Sami people (sometimes called Laplanders) are an indigenous group in Norway and have had their own parliament since 1989. They have celebrated their national day since 1933. However, The Sami National Day is still not recognized as a public holiday in Norway.
